Esophageal Applicator (single tube)
The Esophageal Applicator is a Nasogastric (NG) tube modified to have one additional afterloading tube in one of the lumens. The afterloading tube is closed at one end and enters through a hole made at 60 cm from the bottom of the NG tube and reaches up to the bottom. A small stainless steel ball is kept at the closed end for checking the position of the tube in the radiograph. A stainless steel button is slid onto the afterloading tube nearer to the open end for suturing to skin.
